We’ve put together answers to the questions we’re most often asked by our guests, so you can plan your stay with ease. From arrival and breakfast times to parking, luggage storage, and local attractions, you’ll find all the practical details you need in one place. Whether you’re visiting Cowes for sailing, exploring the Isle of Wight’s stunning coastline, or simply enjoying a relaxing getaway, our aim is to make your stay as smooth and enjoyable as possible.

    • Check-in: from 2:00 PM

    • Check-out: by 10:30 AM
      Late check-out may be available by prior arrangement for a small fee.

  • Breakfast is served in our dining room: Monday to Friday from 07:00 to 09:00, and Saturday & Sunday from 07:30 to 09:30. We offer a choice of full English, vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free breakfasts, using locally sourced produce where possible.

  • We are located in Cowes, Isle of Wight, just a short walk from the Red Jet ferry terminal and Cowes High Street. For detailed directions by car, on foot, or via public transport, please visit our Find Us page.

  • Yes, we offer free off-street parking for guests.

    Spaces are limited, so please mention parking when booking.

  • The Caledon is a Victorian property with stairs to all guest rooms and no lift, so it may not be suitable for guests with significant mobility impairments. If you have specific requirements, please contact us before booking so we can advise.Item description

  • We do not accept pets, with the exception of registered assistance dogs.

  • Yes. We have secure indoor storage for bicycles — please arrange this in advance.

    You are also welcome to drop bags off before check-in or leave them after check-out so you can enjoy Cowes without carrying luggage.

  • We ask guests to observe quiet hours between 10:00 PM and 7:00 AM to ensure a restful stay for everyone.

  • We are ideally located for exploring the Isle of Wight. Nearby attractions include:

    • Cowes High Street – boutique shops, cafés, and sailing heritage.

    • Maritime Museum & Sir Max Aitken Museum – local history and maritime exhibits.

    • Island Coastal Path – scenic walks starting right from our doorstep.

    • Osborne House – Queen Victoria’s seaside palace (10 minutes by car).

    • Northwood Park – a peaceful green space perfect for picnics and tennis.
